How To Stop Your Background Image “Jumping” When Navigating Between Steps
If you’re embedding Growform on your website, you may notice that the background noticeably “jumps” when you navigate between steps.
This is perfectly normal (and fixable), and happens because the height of the form is changing.
Here our are fixes:
1 – Set a “min height” on your form
To do this, go to “Form settings” when you’re on your form and set your form’s “min height” to a value larger than the height of your form.
This will keep your form at a consistent height between steps, preventing the jumping effect.
2 – Use a single color as a background
If your form steps vary in height significantly, it may be easiest to simply set a background color instead of an image to make the difference less jarring.
To do this, go to “Form settings”, then “Edit theme settings”, and set the parent container background to a color:
3 – Set the background in Growform to “none”, and manage the background image elsewhere
Failing the above, you can always set Growform’s parent container background to “none”, and add a background image of your choosing on your own website. To do this, follow the steps in step 2 – but choose “None” instead of a color.
