Google Fonts for forms

Growform's theme settings include a picker with 150+ Google Fonts. Your form can use the same typeface as the page around it, so it reads as part of your site.

What are Google Fonts for forms?

Google Fonts for forms means choosing your form's typeface from the Google Fonts library, so the form matches the page it sits on. Growform includes more than 150 of these fonts in its theme settings. You pick a font by name and the form loads it, with no font files to upload and no code to write.

Most people who ask for custom fonts want their brand's typeface on the form. If that typeface is a Google Font, you can select it in a few clicks.

Which parts of a form can have their own form font?

Four parts of the form have a separate font setting. You can leave them all on the default, or set each one.

  • Default text covers headers and paragraphs unless you override them.
  • Inputs and labels covers field labels and the text the lead types.
  • Buttons in the form covers the choice buttons that answer a question with one click.
  • Continue and submit buttons covers the buttons that move the form forward and send it.

Each header and paragraph also has its own font setting, so one headline can differ from the rest. For anything more specific, you can write custom CSS.

What if the font you need is not in the list?

Ask Growform support to add it. The picker holds a selection of the Google Fonts library, and the team adds a missing font on request.

How to change the font of a form

Open the theme settings

Go to the form you want to restyle and choose “Theme” in the builder.

Set the default font

Start with the default font, because it controls every header and paragraph that has no font of its own.

Set inputs and buttons

Choose the font for inputs and labels, for buttons in the form, and for the continue and submit buttons. Skip any that should follow the default.

Save and preview

Save the form, then preview it to check the new typeface on every step.

Why typography matters on a lead form

  • The form looks like part of your page.

A shared typeface removes the visual seam between your landing page and the form at the point where you ask for a phone number.

  • Agencies can match every client.

Fonts are set in each form's theme, so a law firm's form can use a serif while a home improvement brand's uses a rounded sans.

  • The next action stands out.

The continue button has a font setting of its own, which lets you give it more weight than the text around it.

Yes. Default text, inputs and labels, buttons in the form, and the continue and submit buttons can each use a different font.

Do I have to add font code to my website?
