Feature

Contact State integration

The Contact State integration creates a certificate for every submission and saves its claim URL on the lead. You can sell to buyers who ask for proof of where each lead came from.

What is the Contact State integration?

The Contact State integration creates a Contact State certificate for each form submission and stores the claim URL for that certificate on the lead. Contact State is a lead verification service that lets you verify the provenance of your leads.

Contact State normally needs a snippet installed on your landing page. With Growform it is a 1-click integration, and the only thing you enter is your landing page ID.

Where is the Contact State claim URL saved?

The Contact State claim URL is saved on each lead in a field called “Contact State Claim URL”. The field appears in the leads table in Growform. It is also sent with the lead through email alerts, Zapier and webhooks.

Most teams pass the claim URL to their CRM or lead distribution platform with the rest of the lead's fields. The company that receives the lead uses the URL to retrieve the certificate.

Do you need to tell people about Contact State?

Yes, Contact State's terms require you to tell people that the form is tracked by Contact State. Contact State provides widgets for that purpose. A consent checkbox with your own wording can sit on the same step as your contact fields.

Can you use Contact State with TrustedForm or Jornaya?

Yes, each one is a separate setting on the form. Growform has the same kind of integration for TrustedForm and Jornaya, so a lead can carry the evidence each of your buyers asks for.

How to set up Contact State in Growform

Copy your landing page ID

Log in to Contact State and copy the landing page ID. Contact State's support team can tell you where to find it.

Paste the ID into Growform

Go to “Tracking & tagging” in the form's settings and find the Contact State option. Paste the landing page ID in and save the settings.

Submit a test lead

Fill in the live form, then open the leads table and check for the “Contact State Claim URL” field.

Send the URL onward

Include the claim URL field in the webhook or Zap that delivers leads to your CRM or buyer.

What a claim URL on every lead is worth

  • You can sell to buyers with strict compliance requirements.

A life insurance lead that arrives with a certificate meets a requirement that an uncertified lead cannot.

  • The evidence travels with the lead.

The claim URL is attached when the form is submitted, so nobody matches certificates to leads afterwards.

  • Your landing page needs no extra snippet.

Growform loads Contact State inside the form once your landing page ID is saved.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own Contact State account?

Yes. The integration uses the landing page ID from your own Contact State account.

Where does the claim URL appear?

It appears on each lead in the “Contact State Claim URL” field, and it is sent with the lead through email alerts, webhooks and Zapier.

Can Contact State run alongside TrustedForm?

Yes. Each is a separate setting under “Tracking & tagging”, so one lead can carry both records.
