Growform saves every lead and exports them to a CSV file with the tracking and compliance data attached. You can reconcile with a buyer, report by campaign or load a CRM from one file.
What is a lead export?
A lead export is a file that contains the leads a form has collected, with one row for each lead and one column for each field. Growform's CSV export produces a file that opens in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers. When you export leads this way, most CRMs can import the same file.
What does the CSV file include?
The file includes more than the answers the lead typed. Each row can hold the following columns.
- Every field on the form, under the name you gave it.
- Your hidden fields, which hold UTM parameters, click IDs and the page URL.
- The validation status of phone numbers and email addresses, when the form uses real-time validation.
- Certificate URLs, such as the one TrustedForm creates for each submission.
- A “Disqualification reasons” column that shows which lead disqualification rules the lead matched.
Can you view and search leads without exporting?
Yes, “View Leads” shows a form's leads in a table. You can search the table to find a particular lead. You can also select entries and delete them, which is how you handle a request to remove someone's data.
Disqualified leads appear in the table too. Growform saves them even when you have chosen not to send them on to webhooks, Zapier and email.
When should you download form submissions as a file?
Download form submissions when you need an audit, a report or a one-off import. For day-to-day delivery, webhooks and Zapier send each lead to your systems as it comes in. The export gives you the complete record whenever you need to check those systems against it.
How to export leads to CSV in Growform
Start the export
Choose “Export all leads”. You can run one export at a time.
Set a date range
Pick a start and end date if you only want part of the data. Leave the range empty to export every lead.
Open the emailed file
Growform prepares the CSV and delivers it by email. Open the message and download the file.
